HP Constructions comprises a team of builders, carpenters, project managers, contractors and support staff, working towards the common goal of achieving building excellence with every project we undertake.
Our Story
Get to know the team behind HP Constructions and learn about how it all started.
Established in March 2015 by Directors Evan Peters and Guy Haege, HP Constructions was conceived as a corporate reflection of their decade-long partnership and considered entry to Sydney’s high-end market.
As licenced builders and qualified carpenters, Evan and Guy honed their skills working on residential projects across Sydney’s Northern beaches, North Shore and Eastern Suburbs, and established themselves as exceptional craftsmen in the high-end market.
Since incorporating HP Constructions, the pair have completed multiple unique, large-scale and complex projects over a number of years alongside premium architecture and building design firms.
Though initially a two-person operation, the company has since grown in scale and team support, and now includes 25 carpenters, site managers, apprentices, project managers and support staff. In December 2020, a business restructure has seen Evan assume the role of the company’s Managing Director, with Guy serving in a consultant capacity on a number of key projects.

Our Process
Cost Planning Each project starts with the preparation of a Bill of Quantities (BoQ) to confirm and substantiate contract value. In the case of cost-plus contracts, the BoQ is used to track the actual cost against established budget.
Contract Negotiation We’ll work with clients and the project management team to negotiate and execute a contract. As the complexity and scale of projects has increased, we have implemented increased cost-plus contracting so that the client only pays for what is done.
Site Works Every project undertaken by HP Constructions has a dedicated full-time working foreman. Your site foreman is an employee of HP Constructions who has worked for the company a minimum of three years before being promoted to the position, and is supported by the Head Office Project Management Team.
Handover and Defect Management As the date for practical completion nears, HP Constructions will prepare a comprehensive list of tasks and defects to rectify, ensuring a frictionless project handover experience.
Property Maintenance We understand that homes and landscaping evolve with the elements. If required, HP Constructions is on hand to assist with ongoing property maintenance and upkeep.
